Guess who’s turning 4? Olivia got an early birthday present from Grandpa & Grandma, her very first big-girl bike! Yes, it’s Hello Kitty, of course. You may remember last year’s Safari Party, a birthday party for all the grandkids born in the fall (since there are six birthdays in just a matter of weeks). Well, this year we did something similar, except it was a Hawaiian theme, hence the early birthday present. Thank you, Grandpa & Grandma!

We decided to get a few canvases of the girls made up for the house, so we took them out for a quick mini-shoot this week. I posted a picture on facebook of Leland being the best helper ever, toting around the stool I brought and lugging all the ~~dirty rocks~~ treasures Olivia found along the way. Anyways, here’s one we’re not using for the wall display, but I thought was still worth sharing somewhere.

You may have read about some of Olivia’s conversations with our recent pet fish, Spiderman, on our facebook page earlier this week. Seriously, this girl cracks me up, and her imagination never ceases to amaze me. Here’s the family of potato head pirates that currently reside in her room on her headboard. The one with the pink hair is Olivia’s favorite. Her name is Mistianna.

Foto Friday 27/52 | We’re Back!

We’re baaaaack! This summer has been crazy and so has been keeping up my Project 52. Not that I don’t have pictures to share…lots of days at the lake, family trips, a lost & found dog, the girls starting preschool…I hope to do a major summer catch-up one of these days. For now, I thought I better just get back on track so I don’t fall further behind.

I hope you all are enjoying your summer as well! I love the sunshine and the afternoon thunderstorms that come along with the heat, unless it interferes with a shoot of course! Do any of you have trips or special plans before the fall?

This weekend is looking like it’s going to be lovely and warm…yessssss! We don’t exactly have sand to sink our toes into, but a kiddie pool in the front yard will do! Yes, that is purple sparkly nail polish, my sweet little girly girl. Purple is the new pink ya know.

Foto Friday 18/52 | Mommy’s Day Out

I am so thankful to have had a full day & a half of relaxation and time with a dear, dear friend this week. Olivia called it a ‘Mommy sleepover.’ I certainly felt like a teenager, as late as we stayed up talking & giggling, and the spa at the Grove Park Inn was nothing short of fabulous. Here’s Sarah saying goodnight to her kiddos before we headed out for dinner.
