It took this week’s I Heart Faces theme, “Water”, to be the final push to get the girls a fish.

Reese (20mos), shown, warmed up to him quickly. Olivia (3yrs) named him Spiderman. Spiderman now lives on our kitchen counter. Olivia’s been having conversations with him all day.

Sixth Place!!
Judge, Dana Suggs, says: “I LOVE this! (Am I saying this for every photo? I feel like I am….) It’s just a SIMPLE, WELL EXECUTED photo! The B&W conversion is flawless! The propeller (is that what it’s called? LOL) is a perfect line to draw your eye from one side of the photo to the other. (Called “Leading lines”…..I know, I’m all smart and stuff!) It’s just clean and simple. Beautiful job!”

This week’s challenge on I Heart Faces is “Vroom, Vroom”: using an image that has some kind of vehicle in it AND a face. Dad & I have talked about taking some shots of him & his “bird” for quite a while, but this is just the incentive I needed. I called him up last night and made time to take some shots this morning. The fog was thick, but it made a great natural backdrop, and I was happy to put my 10-22 to use.
