Photography Prop Hunting in Franklin, North Carolina

I haven’t been a super proppy photographer, (is that a word?) but since we’ve finished the new studio, I’ve fallen in love with all things vintage and old.

Western North Carolina is peppered with antique shops filled with great finds and inspiration. I was surprised how easy it was to find something both unique and perfect for the task. Come along with me (via my iPhone) for some prop inspiration. Last week I visited the Whistle Stop Mall in Franklin, North Carolina, with over 60,000 square feet of antiques all under one roof.  In less than an hour, here is what I ran across:

Sweet Valentine Mini Sessions… Just For The Kids!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and this year we’re doing Valentine mini sessions… just for the kids!

Saturday, January 19th we’re going to shoot a total of six Sweet Valentine Mini Sessions in our new studio in Franklin, NC!

Included with each session is a luster coated 5×7 print along with a set of 48 adorable full color press printed Valentine cards.  There are 12 super cute designs to choose from, and they are customizable for both boys and girls! Sampling below. Up to two children per session, but please, no newborns due to time limitations.

Just a couple finishing touches remain and our new studio in Western North Carolina will be complete. I can. not. wait. to shoot in here this winter!

New paint: pure white and simply beautiful. New floors: solid and warm strand bamboo. New props: classics and unique finds. I can’t wait to share. It’s going to be a great year!

Rik-see Photography is gearing up for 2013, and we’ve got some great projects in store!

We need your help! We are currently casting models in both Western North Carolina and Palm Beach County, Florida. Our immediate need is for a female between the ages of 18 and 30. However, all submissions will be considered as more projects are in the pipeline!

If selected, you will receive high resolution files of all the edits from the shoot in exchange for participating. A model release will be required.
