Foto Friday 8/52 | Mojave Desert

A little late in posting, but we are home now, and WPPI was fabulous!  This week’s project 52 image is of the hubs in the Mojave Desert.  Red Rock Canyon was absolutely stunning.  I blew out the background to get the exposure where I wanted it on his glasses.

We LOVED Red Rock Canyon too! We have some great memories of four wheelin’ with friends from when we lived in Cali. So glad you guys had a great time! Cool pic with the reflection in the glasses…you’re SO creative!

Sarah - February 28, 2011 - 7:47 pm

Jodi, it’s amazing! The thought would never have even crossed my mind to catch the reflection in sunglasses! Amazing!

WPPI, here we come!  We are packed & ready to go to the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Convention & Trade Show in Vegas!  I did not purchase one new item of clothing before this trip, and I have conflicting feelings of being proud of myself and completely itching to shop! :)  But, I’ve saved my money and itching for the show…there are so many things on my photography list!

Sayonara, for now.

Have a great time! So excited for you two! Your children are so sweet. I have watched bubble guppies and The Little Mermaid many times already. Tomorrow will be adventure day taking Saidah to the groomers, going to office to get my papers, and baking Friendship Bread! Love you!—Mom

ok, I sent in my recipe… I might make an appetizer too, is that ok? I’m still not 100% sure I can make it… but Scott says he *thinks* it will work out :)

Jodi - February 27, 2011 - 10:38 pm

Ooooh, looks yummy! And, yes ma’am! You can bring whatever you wish, you-over-achiever-you. :) Hope it works out & we’ll see you Tuesday!

Sarah - February 28, 2011 - 7:47 pm

I submitted recipe #2. Don’t be too impressed, it’s pretty much the simplest appetizer possible. :) Thought we might need some salty to balance out all the sweet :)

Jess - February 28, 2011 - 8:20 pm

This is my favorite and best dessert but I haven’t confirmed that the grocery store will have the cookies so this may not be what I bring tomorrow! I will keep you posted!

Jodi - February 28, 2011 - 8:29 pm

Oh my goodness, ladies, you can’t see all the recipes that have come in, but let me just say, IT’S GONNA BE TASTY! :) Hope to see you tomorrow!

Jess - February 28, 2011 - 10:16 pm

Sorry no bastogne cookies at the store so I am making fruit pizza! hope that’s ok! I will submit that recipe now!

Jodi - February 28, 2011 - 10:29 pm

Foto Friday 6/52 | Mommy’s Big Helper

While Reese used to be scared of the vacuum, she has now come to embrace it.  Literally!  As soon as she sees me haul it out, she scampers over and climbs aboard the canister.  She’s quite proud of the fact that she can get on by herself, and she loves to go for a ride when Mommy cleans…my big helper.

What to Wear | Scarf Edition

Scarves add great dimension to an image and can create a unique feel to a photograph depending on the texture, pattern, material & style.  I was thrilled when my sister-in-law taught me how to tie a scarf in a new & fantastic way, and it’s super easy!  I just had to share.:)  I snagged Becky this afternoon for a quick mini-shoot.

Jodi - February 14, 2011 - 12:41 pm

Yes, my apologies for not being specific…the creative-scarf-wearing-sister-in-law is Satu. :) Milan is very creative too, but lives in South Florida–typically not scarf wearing weather :)
