Foto Friday 10/52 | More Hearts!

We had a play-date at Grandma’s house this week and boy did we do some baking!  We decided to make some Christmas Cookies Easter Cookies, albeit a little bit early.  Traditionally, we make these cookies once a year, at Christmastime, since it’s a pretty big ordeal, but you’d probably think we were preparing for Valentine’s Day at the amount of hearts we ended up making, at Olivia’s request, of course!  Good times.

Looks like fun to me! (yummy fun actually :) )

Is it me or does Olivia remind you of a little version of katelyn when she was younger?!?!? So precious :)

Well, those kids are cut from the same cloth ya know. They are similar in so many ways but when Olivia talks about silly things her own personality just shines. She is such a joy to be with.

Yes, the similarities are uncanny! They both bring a smile to my face…I love it!

Recipe Swap | Appetizers & Desserts

Heeeeerrre are the recipes from the Appetizers & Desserts Recipe Swap, and boy are they tasty!  After eating all night to our hearts content, we decided next month the theme is going to be “Healthy Eating.”  Haha!

I wanted to note that all but one of these recipes were rated “easy”, and the two unofficial favorite recipes of the night (and by unofficial, I mean solely based on the comments I heard), the Black Bean Salsa and Grandma Van’s Cocktail Meatballs, are two of the absolute EASIEST!  So don’t be afraid to try out a new recipe…you can totally do it, and I’m here to vouch that these will be yummy!:)

I’m off to add some ingredients to my grocery list!

This week we got together for another recipe swap, themed “Appetizers & Desserts,” so this week’s photo is one from that night.  These delicious bundles of goodness, A.K.A. Ultimate Chippers, were brought by Sonya and I can.not.stop.eating them!:)  I should have the rest of the photos and the corresponding recipes up sometime this weekend.  TGIF!

I Heart Faces | anything but a face!

I haven’t followed the I Heart Faces themes for a few weeks, but I noticed tonight on facebook that this week’s challenge was “Anything But A Face!”  Interesting!  I decided to use a picture I took of little Zachary’s toes in the moss/dirt of his backyard.  So sad that these toes won’t be little for long!  Be sure to check out more “Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes…Anything But a Face!” entries here:

Foto Friday 8/52 | Mojave Desert

A little late in posting, but we are home now, and WPPI was fabulous!  This week’s project 52 image is of the hubs in the Mojave Desert.  Red Rock Canyon was absolutely stunning.  I blew out the background to get the exposure where I wanted it on his glasses.

We LOVED Red Rock Canyon too! We have some great memories of four wheelin’ with friends from when we lived in Cali. So glad you guys had a great time! Cool pic with the reflection in the glasses…you’re SO creative!

Sarah - February 28, 2011 - 7:47 pm

Jodi, it’s amazing! The thought would never have even crossed my mind to catch the reflection in sunglasses! Amazing!
