At the end of each session, when I go over the details of ‘what happens next’, you’ll hear me say, “and in two weeks, your full gallery will be ready for viewing.” Not everyone asks why, but I thought it to be a viable question, so I figured I would just go ahead an answer it for you.
Why two weeks? As you know, only the images that meet the highest standards in quality will meet the cut to be hand-edited. We want you to have only the best! Furthermore, each of those images is then professionally and artistically processed by hand to enhance the image and really make it shine. Edits are done on a per-image basis, so quite a bit of time can be invested into just one session. Here’s a quick example of what I’m talking about:

The image on the left is the image as I took it, ‘straight out of camera’, and the image on the right is undoubtedly the digitally hand-edited version.
Likewise, black & white photos get hand processed as well. While we typically process a mixture of both black & white and color images for your gallery, I ask that you let us know ahead of time if you prefer one over the other. Some people think, “well, just process in color and have it printed in black & white if I decide so then.” Mmm, nope. I mean, sure, you can, but let me show you a couple examples of this difference as well:

The first image shown is converted to grayscale directly from the color image showing how it would appear if you had just done so at the time of printing, usually appearing muddy and flat. Clearly, the second image shows the edit when processed by hand with a black & white image in mind.
Sooooooo, that’s where the two weeks comes from.![]()
